My crocosmia (planted early this summer) were blooming quite well when I left last week for a 1 week vacation. Although they are still blooming, the leaves now are quite yellow and appear to be dying. They are in a location that gets early morning sun and receive water from the sprinkler system 3 times a week/2 times each day. Are they being overwatered? Do they need fertilizer?
Crocosmia are a magnet for spider mites in dry climates (ie. low humidity). Mine suffer the same fate every year but usually recover nicely. Even if they didn't, the darn things are so cheap to buy.
