My local Home Depot has medium and high high-grafted Crimson Queens at a hard to resist price of $50. The high grafted plant is almost 5 and half feet tall including the pot. The question really boils down to how much higher the plant will eventually grow above the graft point. Does anyone know?

My high grafted Garnet doesn't seem to have grown much taller after 5 years or so
Crimson Queen should be a similar plant
I find it to be quite attractive .....

It'll take a long time and a lot of staking for the low graft to get to 5 feet, that's for sure! On the other hand on a high grafted 'pink filigree' I have, there's a constant job rubbing off buds from the central stem, at least for now. (The top is healthy although it did freeze this year so not too much new growth.) That's a very cheap price for a high graft, assuming the understock is healthy and hasn't been pushed too hard to attain the hight.
