Hi Im on the oklahoma kansas border and would like to get some starters from my crape myrtles. They do very well down here. What is the best way? I would like to start them this fall indoors for spring planting. Are clippings best or should I plant the seed heads. I want to do the same with rose of sharon. Can anyone make some sugestions? Thanks

Named varieties are all propagated from cuttings. There's a surprising number of cultivars, with varying growth habits, mildew resistance, cold hardiness, etc. Obviously yours are happy plants.
