Crape myrtle leaf disease

    Our crape myrtle sapling leaves are gradually getting curled up, wrinkled and split along the veins. Please see the attached image.

    Would be glad to have your comments on possible causes and suggested remedies.

    The lower older leaves look to have white dots all over them. Did you spray something on them? To me the newer growth looks similar to drought stress. Or roots unable to develop properly. Thats my guess.

    Thanks for pointing it out. These spots could be mud or deposits of hard water. They are easily scraped off.

    Well it is quite warm here. Around 42 degree centigrade! Incidentally this is the natural home of the crape myrtle which originally hails from India (Laegerstromia Indica)
