    Yes, a crabapple. However, there are hundreds of kinds being grown in North America. You may need to write down the characteristics of the fruits of this one, then look at the flowers next spring to get this one figured out - even as to general type (many are superficially similar to one another, as with other large popular groups like roses or irises).

    I will keep in mind to compare the flowers and figure it out completely next season.

    I am also trying to figure out what is shredding the leaves of this tree, makes the whole drive way a mess in a single day during this time of the season.
