Costa Rica Loose Ends

    These are just a few of quite a number of old friends whose names I never knew. They are mainly from Monteverde cloudforest locations.

    Chamaedorea costaricana or similar species.

    Iochroma perhaps?

    These are pretty obscure. There are so many possibilities. Thanks for that suggestion, saltcedar. I can see if it's right on, or if it starts me looking close to the mark. I suppose my best chances are in returning there and doing a little learning.

    The orange berries look like Acnistus arborescens. The palms with orange seed stalks are certainly Chamaedorea but I cannot say which species. The last picture looks like a different genus of palm.

    The third photo looks like a Bursera species. Maybe B. simarouba? There are a number of specie with similar looking bark...
