Identification: Cortinarius Rex?

    I believe there isn't really such a thing exactly but there SHOULD be, and this might be it. Or maybe it already has another name.

    Pics are from two weeks ago, on Southern Vancouver Island. Pics 1 and 3 are of younger ones with spectacularly purple stipes (colour of royalty). The 3rd, the youngest, especially is good on the characteristic line dividing the top and bottom of the stipe. And those dark radial lines on the cap? Oooh la la!

    Should add that they were growing on the ground and size of the big old one was about 8 cm across, perhaps 8 cm tall as well.
