Hi. I am new to this and hope the file downloaded properly. I have had this corn plant for 18 years. It is not too tall, very green and healthy leaves, same large pot for the past ten years or so. It's a picture perfect plant. When I bought it at the store 18 years ago, it was a scrawny little thing. Brought it back to life but it only started growing again about ten years ago. Not fast but always looking healthy. About a week ago, it flowered. I had to Google to figure out what had happened. Have tons of pics of it before it flowered. It's a fascinating flower. It bloomed today and the internet is right. It is, indeed, a very fragrant bloom. A cross between a lily and a lilac. It's gorgeous and smells great. Some Internet sites alluded to the fact that it may smell too strong and that if this is the case, to cut off the flower. Are you kidding? After 18 years? It's beautiful and its fragrance has filled my house with a great perfume. I am very lucky.
And your plant is lucky, too---clearly you have provided it a good home. Thanks for this good news! You and the plant both have my congratulations. Nice photo. Welcome to the Forum!
