We were given a copper beech tree which is now planted on our property at Hope B.C. Problems are; Tree will eventually grow too large, and the drainage is not good where it is. We are thinking of transplating it to a higher site ( better drainage and more sun ) and using root pruning to keep it from overwhelming the site. Any thoughts on this woud be appreciated. It is about three feet in height now.
The right plant for the right place. Plant it where it needs to be and don't try and make it fit the space. Neither you, the tree or those who follow behind you will be happy if you try and force it into an inappropriate space. We plant trees for our grandchildren. Newt
