These are photos of what may be Common Privet. Could it be the Chinese or English variety?? This shrub or small tree is very common in this area. Found as a hedge in urban areas and in the wild. At this park in Russellville, Arkansas USA it is found in the understory of larger trees. Thanks!!!

One of the other species of Ligustrum, with smaller leaves.

I'd bet on the evergreen Boxleaf honeysuckle -- Lonicera nitida -- due to the following:
    -small leaf size
    -blunt tipped leaves
-glossy rather than dull leaf surface
    -the thin branches

    rather than Ligustrum.

Small leaf size does not rule out Ligustrum. Appearance of twigs shown and other features like those of Ligustrum.
