One aspect of a project in my outdoor ed class is to identify/compare the local flora and fauna in two designated areas. While I would consider myself very adept at identifying animals (particularly birds), I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about plants, so your help in identifying these species would be GREATLY appreciated:

Picture 1- any plants in the foreground you can ID

Picture 2- the tree harbouring the robin

    Picture 3- the mossy trunk

    More pictures coming.

Picture 4- the subject of the photo, no idea what this is

Picture 5- the trees felled by the beaver, and the plant just to the left with the multiple brown "trunks"

Picture 6- the tree harbouring the nest (with the dangling red parts)

Picture 10- the tree harbouring the deteriorated nest

Picture 11- the tree containing the song sparrow

And that's the last of them! Thank you in advance for any input.

7 - A spruce Picea (far left) and some Eastern Juniper Juniperus virginiana (the other evergreen trees)
