   Former Ohio Governor Bob Taft was present at today's planting festivities.
   
   Mr. Taft is the great-grandson of U.S. President William Howard Taft and First Lady Helen Taft, who in 1912 accepted Japan's original gift of the cherry trees which have since graced Washington, D.C.
