Cold hardy palm inside then outside

I a coold hardy palm was grown inside for a few years would it still be able to handle the cold?

 

Indoor treatment would have no effect on genetics, which is what determines hardiness.

 

Nevertheless, care should be taken to gradually acclimatize the plant to the new environment.

 

I'd put it out in May or June. Will need to be placed so that the existing top is shaded but new leaves can grow up into the sun.
