Found this growing a few dozen yards from a freshwater marsh in northern San Diego County: San Elijo Lagoon, to be exact. Doesn't match anything on a plant checklist (of unknown thoroughness) for the area. Any thoughts?

The 2009 BioBlitz of the lagoon (PDF) reports Asphodelus fistulosus growing in the area, so that'd be my guess. Slow Internet connection, so too difficult to research the different Asphodelus species to eliminate other possibilities, but fairly certain this is in the genus Asphodelus in any case.

Daniel, I think your right. I looked at the other spp at CalPhoto, and A. fistulosus is the only good match. Thanx!
