this question is specifically for those who have irrigation systems in their home gardens at the coast (ie West Van - Sunshine Coast)

    what brand?

    would you buy it again?

    pros

    cons

we would like some automation (ie turn on - turn off) (I believe our district requires rain sensors)

    ease of maintenance?
    any other considerations?

I am somewhat capable of DIY - tho maybe someone has other ideas about that~

our lot is approx 50 x 150 on a slope

we have a small lawn (about 15 x 35 in a rectangle shape with some curves along a garden border bed (not near any buildings so overspray would not be an issue I don't think)

then various tiered (terraced) ornamental beds, some sun, some shade
plants include lilacs, ornamental maples, rhodos, roses, hostas, hydrangeas, clematis, lilies, hardy geraniums, etc. Typical half-day sun Vancouver coastal area garden. Our sun is morning til about 1pm.

we also have hanging baskets and patio containers (seasonal)
we do sometimes get a cold snap out of the north (Squamish) so freezing pipes is an issue

    thank you

This is the best place to go IMO: http://www.southerndrip.com/

They took my sketch of raised beds & sent me out the door with a bundle of bits that turned into a low-pressure system that does the job. Some thought and research on their site should probably get your ideas in order.
