Hello all! I got this "Fabien" Polyscias balfouriana a few weeks ago from a Hungarian garden centre.

Since then it has been growing new leaves but looks a little ill - on the underside of the leaves there are brown lesions about 1-2mm in diameter, sometimes circumscribed with a white halo, other times not. On other leaves there are dark green patches on the underside, as if they were somehow damaged. I found some bugs crawling on it - white about 3mm long, multi-semgented - they seem to be mealybugs from what I can tell from the internet. there are some white .5mm flecks (removable) on the underside of some leaves.

    are the observations connected?
could it be a bacterial (Xanthomonas) or fungal infection?
what sort of pesticide should i use?

Any help would really be appreciated, I don't want it to die! Thanks!!!!
