We have a Clivia plant and it has flowered quite well for the last few years. For some reason, this year it started to flower, but the flower stalk on it did not emerge and the flower tried to happen in the axis of the leaves.
Could someone give some ideas as to what would cause this and what we can do
    reduce this happening again.
A friend of our used to put there's outside for the summer months and it did very well.
We have never put ours outside.

I've had that happen also, assumed the plant probably got too dry at a bad time.
