Great website here. Lots of info!

We have a raised covered deck that I'd like to partially cover one side with a perennial crawler. Approx. 15' long by 8' tall area. Southern exposure, in Port Coquitlam (BC Canada), with a BBQ nearby.

    I'd like something that:
    - flowers (fragrant would be a bonus)
    - can grow tall and wide but also thin (not bushy)
    - can survive our winters
    - doesn't make too much of a mess

I thought a net would make a good support.... Any other suggestions? We have white aluminum frame with glass railings.

Am I asking too much? Any help would be appreciated!

Please advise what could give us a little more privacy as well as enhance our surroundings. Thanks.

clematis would be nice for that purpose. don't know what zone you are in...there are a couple that are hardy down to zone 4.

    Thanks Joclyn.

    I believe we're in zone 7
