    Hello--

I have many Cleome planted and I am curious as to when the ideal time would be to collect them for storing until next season/storage methods. I am in zone 5, and I am trying to have them germinate in a zone 6 site next Spring.

They should be fine to collect now. Store in a cool, dry place. I stored mine in my garage with no problems germinating them this spring (Mid april - I had mine on a heat mat under lights....protect from frost! They are easy....have fun!

Thankyou! I see now that some of the pods are beginning to open, and the seeds are spilling out. This is great!

cleome will bloom repeatedly - and the pods will continue to form as well. collecting seeds is an 'every few days' thing with them!

leave the pods on the plant until they are starting to turn brown.
