Asked the garden Center about these..said can handle Mississippi sun but the stem leaves on the bottom of it seem to be wilting more than I would like to see...need more water or can't stand the Mississippi heat??
    thanks

Probably needs more water. Cleome grow here in the true tropical heat, and as long as it's moist they seem to do fine.

Thank you Lorax for the info!

Getting some good rain here the next couple of days.

They have some seed pods so perhaps they"ll hang in there for me.
    Thanks again.

I yanked these guys..brought them back to the Garden Center. This past weekends heat and downpours must have done a number on them because they were fried beyond helping. I did come home with 2 replaced (free of charge..they were kind enough to do so) and moved them to a new spot..these new guys seem to be doing better than the others.
