    Hi there,
I'm an ethnobotanist from SFU, I'm attempting to identify this lichen. I am under the impression it is of the Cladonia genus, but I can't seem to find the species. Can anyone help, please?

    Hi Nicholas,

It looks like a Bird's Nest fungi, such as Nidula or Cyathus.

Here's a link to the local key for this group

I would love to hear about any ethnobotanical uses of Cladonia species!

    cheers

I think Frog's got it, but there's certainly some Cladonias with somewhat similar-looking cups. "Lichens of North America" continues to amaze me with its magnificent photos.
