I have what has been represented to me as a pink grapefruit that has yellow fruit. I've been told that it will not turn pink because our winters are too cold but most probaly our summers are no hot and dry enough. Dose anyone have any advise? John

Coastal California is a poor location for most citrus because it lacks the
heat necessary to properly mature the fruit. It's unlikely that it's too cold
in Winter which actually allows the acidity to drop causing sugars to be
more dominant to the taste. Color may also be less intense due to under
maturity though usually it's color is pink long before it's fully ripe. I think
it's more likely you have a mismarked plant from the grower.

Thank you for theadvice, the grower said he will take it back. Think that's what I will do. Again thanks.
