I have two citrus trees that I planted four years ago. When I bought them they had a tag showing the first blooming date. I planted them in my back yard in Edgewated, Fl. The soil is sandy/shell. I have fertilized them twice a year, and kept the grass trimmed to the drip line. The receive sprinkler system city water twice a week for 20 min. To date neither the Naval Orange or Ruby Red Grapefruit trees have produced blossoms of fruit. Am I doing something wrong? Please help. Bill
Twice a yr fertilizer may not be enough. How much do you use? What kind?\What is the leaf color like? How much have they grown? One thing that will help is foliar spray of KNO3 (2-3%) in January.
The grapefruite tree is about 5' tall and 8' in dia. The orange tree is about 4' tall and 5' dia. I use a genaric fertilizer from K-mart call Citrus Fertilizer. Bill
