I have a plant that I grew from seed and thought that it was a pomegranete. I have recently seen a pomegranete tree on television and the leaves were not at all like the leaves on my tree. The question then is.....what is my tree?

It has very distinctive leaves - they are essentially "double leaves" meaning that there is a small leaf at the base that then balloons out to a bigger leaf - so that from above, the leaf looks like the number "8" with a small top and larger bottom.

Any ideas what my "pomegranete" tree really is? I'm pretty certain it's in the citrus tree family.

That's a typical citrus leaf shape.

It may well have started from a seed that was, in fact, a pomegranite. However, many citrus varieties will not "come true" from a seed. You may find that you are growing a sour orange from that seed.

Thanks everyone for your input. There was a mix up of my seed envelopes.
