Help! I need advice. I think the christmas tree lights that our landscaper put on our 7 foot christmas tree in our garden killed the top. Now I don't know what to do. The rest of the tree looks healthy and has new growth throughout. Should I cut the top off?

"Christmas tree"...d'you mean pine, spruce, or what?
Determine exactly what is causing the problem before you take action!
If your surmise is correct, and the dead top is an isolated area caused by ?heat stress? limb breakage?? and you do remove it , the tree might be OK. I have a now-gigantic white pine that was inadvertently topped off many years ago---other branches took the central one's place, and the tree looks just fine now.

    A photo would certainly help.
