I have a 10ft. Christmas Palm in my Conservatory. It was planted in October. The leave tips are browning and there are brown spots on the fronds. I'm exceptionally concerned about killing this tree. The soil is well drained and I have fertilized the tree with a specially formulated palm fertilizer. I am in Ohio, so lighting may be am issue, but i don't think browning us caused by insufficient light. Can you help or provided some guidance for care of this type of palm? Thanks!
Hi I reaserched "christmas palm" and got alot of sites. here are some that seemed to know what they are talking about and have alot of info: http://www.jaycjayc.com/veitchia-merrillii-christmas-manila-palm/ http://www.plantcare.com/encyclopedia/christmas-palm-1629.aspx http://www.tropical-plants-flowers-and-decor.com/christmas-palm-tree.html Also the younger ones dont need full sun all the time and I heard they need part shade some days. I didnt find any info on the problem you asked about but I will check after a while again. Good luck
