I realize that this not a plant question and hope that nobody is offened that I post this question.
I have been asked if I could make up some bell's (had seen them years ago, but never made one) made on a inverted moss basket wire frame and then cover with different tree boughs.
If anyone has any ideas or knowledge of how one would make these it would be much appreciated.
Again, I hope that I am not taking too many liberities in posting on this forum.

No offense taken! That's the great thing about a forum---all kinds of folks posting about all sorts of stuff.

That said...this project sounds like one of those that develops into a lot more work than anticipated! Hmm. Wire basket frames...I daresay that a well-stocked garden center might have these, even at this time of year. Perhaps some variety of wire fencing could be bent into the desired shape.

As for tree boughs, the forum members might be able to help you here. I gather a holiday theme is the goal. Flexibility of the boughs will be important. Are real ones required, or could you use artificial pine garland, say?

I have spoken to the person is requiring these baskets and I am corrected in the fashion in which they are made.
They are made in a moss basket frame with the moss and soil still in it. I thought that the ones I had seen years ago where inverted, empty. I was wrong for their application. They want the baskets left with the soil in them for weight (have quite a bit of wind) and also to help keep the branches in something moist.
So I imagine it will be a hanging basket with boughs stuck into it. They want real boughs in it.
    I may have to experiment?
If anyone has first hand experience it would be great or any wonderful ideas would also be welcome.
    Mush appreciated, Togata
    Any further info. is welcomed

Hmm. Trying to reconcile in my mind's eye the shape of a hanging basket with the shape of a bell...opposites! Yeah, I think that experimentation is in order. Something of a festive nature could be achieved...but a bell shape?

Gentle readers, suggest candidates for bough donation. Must they be needle-bearing, or can other plant divisions be used? Well, guess you DID say 'different tree boughs'. Finding any BUT evergreens will be pretty darned difficult this time of year.---I think that you are going above and beyond, C.R.! I am mystified as to why the bell-requester doesn't just go ahead and make these her/himself...?
