We want to plant a fruit tree, heritage would be great, on Gambier Island. Rocky, soil is not great but can be improved. Inside the deer proof fence there is sun for a maximum of 5 hours a day. What are the best choices and when do we plant? Any advice as to where we can purchase a tree?

Hi Guys. Get a hold of Harry Burton on Saltspring Island.

They have some great cultivars and they do a great apple tasting event.
