I have two photos to post. The tree is growing in California, somewhere it is warm enough to grow Phoenix roebellini and Schinus molle. The owner says it turns red in fall. A lot points to Pistache, but the leaves seem too leathery. Help aprpeciated! Caroline
I agree about the habit shot. i realize I donlt get close to these too often. Funny thing is the leaf shot reminds me of a common weed tree in Calif, Schinus terebinthefolia. Turns out there is Pistache tree called P. terebinthe, from which turpentine is derived. But the picture tree in this inquiry is not one of those--I checked.
This is P. vera... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...era_Kerman.jpg/800px-Pistacia_vera_Kerman.jpg Leaves seem curly.
Not necessarily relevant. The 'curly' or undulate leaflets are often a feature of fully adult foliage exposed to strong sun.
