    hello,

i just got one of these for free, it's not in the best shape though. two of the leaves were completely dry (i think the plant wasn't watered enough) and dead, so i cut them off. the remaining leaves are brown at the tips and looking dodgy. there are a ton of small stalks at the bottom that appear to have been cut off and are sticking out all over the place (some green, some brown). should i cut those off, and trim to whole thing down so it can repair itself better? or should i give it some time to see if it springs back?

First make sure it's not infested with mites or scale.
Then remove only completely brown portions. Let
nature take it's course. If you see mites or scale
    toss it out.
