Anyone can tell me about the chilling hours that apples need. I would like to try and grow them in a mediteranean farm I have the summers are Hot and dry...winters are not cold like Canada. The coldest it will get is -2 and not for long. Will apple grow and fruit in this area? What does a chill hour mean?
