    Hello.
This is my first time posting here. I wasn`t 100% where this should go.
Ok so last year I started growing Serrano chillies from seed. They were propergated indoors or in the conserverty. They have lived indoors since. They were thriving enjoying the warmth. Late summer and into early winter they started looking unhappy. Developing marks and spots on the leaves that often turned into holes. Then the "mites" appeared, tiny pin prick white bugs that spun webs on the plants. I thought I had gotten rid of them by gently washing the plants down by hand with a weak mild soap solution. However they have now returned this year.
Firstly are they a type of mite?
Where could I have contracted them?...(could they have been in the compost I used)
And finaly how can I get rid of them and save my plants?
    Please help thank you.

They look like Spider mites. Try spraying with insecticidal soap. They like dry conditions, so try to increase the humidity around your plants. You could try misting them on a daily basis.
