I have noticed in the past couple of years that a good number of Horse Chestnut trees seem to be suffering. Their leaves are drying up and falling -seemingly from the inside to the outside. I first observed this when we had such a long dry spell a couple of summers ago. Even with this cool wet spring, these trees seem to be still having problems. Any idea what is wrong with them? And any ideas how we can help them?
Not sure if you have the same problems over there, but in Britain horse chestnuts have really been having a bad time. Just hope it doesn't wipe them all out like the Elms, (Ulmus procera).See..... http://www.richmond.gov.uk/home/lei.../trees/tree_diseases/horse_chestnut_trees.htm
