Hi, I have a 20 foot chestnut tree located on my front yard. I was hoping to build a new driveway to the left side of it, but heard adding any pressure on the root system could kill it. How far away from the tree could I park my car without harming it? Thanks Located Whitby Ontario Canada Jennifer
Unpredictable. The only sure thing is to not alter site conditions markedly around trees. If you need the drive, you'll just have to chance it.
