Hello, my husband and I planted two cherry trees one was a Stella and Raineer. I noticed that something was eating the leaves . What can I spray on these young trees. We leave in TN.

    Thanks Debbie

It seems like you've picked two very difficult to grow cultivars for Tennessee (given that from all that I've read, sweet cherries in general are difficult to grow in Tennessee).

To start to answer your question, though: we'd need to identify what is eating the leaves before suggesting a treatment. If you have the opportunity to photograph the pest, maybe there is something we can do.

In the meantime (and with respect to growing cherries in Tennessee), I highly recommend reading the comments on this thread on Growing Fruit:

    Eastern Sweet Cherries

In particular, the user named "thecityman" discusses his experience with sweet cherries in Tennessee.
