    Hello,
I would be very happy if someone can advice me on my 3 cherry trees, which look bit unhappy. They are located in mountains in Czech rep., cca 800m altitude. They seem to have some sort of fungus which is affecting the whole tree. So i`d like to know if theres any change of rescuing them?
    Many thanks

The growth on the branches is lichens and is harmless.

my experience is that the growth of that type if fungus and lichens is on a dead tree or very sick. there are plenty other types of stuff that grows on healthy trees

I agree with Ron B. Lichen growth on cherry trees depends more on the local climate than the health of the trees. My cherry trees on Canada's west coast have plenty of lichens but that doesn't seem to bother them at all. The leaves in the photo appear to be a bit chewed up, but don't look too bad for this late in the season.

How are your trees doing today?
I would suggest that the lichen is not and is not going to be a problem for your cherry trees.
I think what you may have a problem with however is a slug like bug, judging by the foliage photo.
I had this same bug on my cherry tree and made a real mess of the leaves.
Not so bad this year though. Please see the following link for more information on what is called the Pear and Cherry Slug:

If you have this problem, look closely as they are not hard to spot once you identify one.
    Hope this helps.
