I couldn't reply to the thread I started on this tree last year because the thread was too old but I wanted to post the pictures from this year of the green fruit. I just took these this past week. The ones with the red fruit are from last fall.
Branch structure (5th pic; I'm assuming they're all of the same individual tree?) is far more like P. avium than P. cerasus. The fruit colour is OK for P. avium too, many have them red like this. P. avium cherries can also be very good for cherry pie, so no problems there!
Thanks, yes all of these pics are from the same cluster of trees all growing side by side. These pics show them in the winter. Would more pictures of some specific part help identify them better? I plan on eating some of them this coming autumn.
