Your right Luke views do come with a price, but I think this Autumn after all our lovely colours cheer us up once more, it is time to think about wind breaks and protection.
And I can't believe to cheer you up after seeing carnage was to order two more maples, LOL . But definite lovely ones, you will not be disappointed by Red Dragon.
One day when your daughter is older she will re tell the day daddy lost it, when his maples nearly perished.
There is always a bright side.

Lol, I properly lost it! I can imagine my neighbours looking out their bedroom window watching me run around moving them all. Sometimes when it rains and the soil doesn’t get wet I have to go out and water. What must they think?! I’ll probably end up getting carted away in a straight jacket one of these days lol

M, I remember you mentioning before about thinning out your collection to make room etc. How do you sell them? eBay, collection only type thing? I wonder whether there could be a ‘Buy and Sell’ section on this forum?

Here's my Acontifolium had been neglected for around four years now so gave it a major root prune last fall and new growing medium see pics , then see picture from a few months back now, leaves as big as your hands looks so much better now, will even look nicer in a few months time.

We are so so protective of our trees, you must have been so upset M. But let's not look back. I bet it looks lovely now knowing your trees.

Hi D. Well actually I have some varieties that I have 2 or 3 of so would consider selling some. To make room for new ones of course lol.

what are you thoughts on this? Are there any rules regarding buying and selling on here?

Oh I nearly forgot. To help with the cheering up process, I booked a family slot at a certain arboretum at 0940 tomorrow morning. You may have heard of it. A little place called Westonbirt!!! Lol

Usually the well known auction site as mentioned, only sell mature container trees for collection only 30 ltr upwards , this year everything was cancelled for reasons we all know about. These are all trees which were planted out years ago by myself and have basically grown too large for me to keep on in the ground and in containers if truth be known , so has they say something must go to make way for other cultivars. I like to call this therapeutic re cycling :):)

It is a botanical forum not a buy and sell forum, so tbh Luke I think it would be fround upon by the UBC. That is only my opinion btw. Perhaps if you personal message Daniel Mosquin he might say differently !!?

Yes that’s what I thought. It was just worth a mention though as we all have such nice trees and they are loved and looked after. When you buy a tree it would be nice to know that little bit extra about it’s life.
