Keep going nuts, I love your photos. Harry is definitely ready for Summer. Lol
@ dangerine49, the last one has a very good color and is ready to sunbathe, with his glasses.
@esmeril, thanks for the information, and put those colors.
Nice summer pics!
I got some cherry blossom finally. I wonder, how many weeks behind the Vancouver area I am?
Close to 80 here today as well. We are supposed to get another heavy hail/thrunder storm with high wind this evening. The plants I couldn't move took a bit of a hit earlier this week. I've been moving things in and out for the last 3.5 months. I think im tired now. Im going to keep my fingers crossed and pray that the forecast is wrong.
@Sulev, now that's Spring arrived in Estonia !!
The Ornamental Cherry forum would like this photo too, I'm sure.
@LoverOfMaples, all my fingers and toes are crossed for you also. This Spring weather around the world is really strange !!! Looks like all should be OK from this weekend!!!!?
Exactly this spring is very strange, here it is raining today.
80F here in Northern VA today and sunny, yes summer is coming.
I recalled one of the thread few years ago, Emery highly recommend this Summer Gold and I went to get one after that. Boy, indeed its color is outstanding this year out-colored the Katsura, Orange dream, Shidava gold, AP Aureum... Here are the pics from early April and today. It has been yellow like this for the last month and a half, beautiful color. I will see how long it will last until it turns to green.
@Acerholic I really hope so.
@Atapi, wonderful bright photos, because of this thread and recommendations I too bought Sumner gold this year. I hope mine turns out as beautiful as yours.
@Atapi, my first ever photo of Summer gold at 0910 am today. Top left. Really pleased with the leaf structure. Quite excited now after seeing your photo this evening.
Acer p. 'Shigarami' looking loving in the afternoon sun. Some leaf damage from hail bout still looking decent as of now.
Between this one and Tsuma Gaki, which one do you think show more red finger tip color?. BTW, I also have Tsuma Beni but it doesn't show much red like these two.
AcerH, i think you missed to upload the photo :)) . I am sure you will be happy with it. Now let see how long this color will hold thru summer.
@Acerholic I think tsuma gaki. I was thinking of getting Beni but if it's not as bright as the other two I think i will hold off. Is it worth it?
Hi @LoverOfMaples, IMO Tsuma gaki has the brightest red fingernails.
I love that photo of Shigarami the colour is so vivid.
Retics and variegated hanging together. Also with a few randoms peeking through.
@Acerholic I was asking if the 'Tsuma beni' worth getting since the red isn't as bright. I wonder if others that are growing this one say the same?
@LoverOfMaples , this is a close up of Tsuma beni leaf taken yesterday Hope that's of help.
I will keep it on the list, lol
Our lists are just soooooo big, lol
I can only agree @Acerholic.
@Atapi, here is the close up of my Summer gold. Taken yesterday morning.
These are better pictures of my new Summer gold. Only had it two weeks, so it's still a baby. A long way to go till your display @Atapi. But I'm very excited about how it will turn out.
Added these today as @zfrittz mentioned yesterday his passion for red ghosts and reticulated maples. I think he has a very good point. Here are four of mine to share.
