Good morning, I just had a reminder about the MS zoom meeting this Sunday that is focusing on dissectums, so I thought today I would add a few of my reds.

Good morning, now I know the greens for many are not so interesting,
but I thought they should have a few added here today.
They will get a good watering before the very hot weekend that is forecast.

Resilience : one of those I didn't water correctly, a "palm-oenum" from seed.
All the leaves were brown (and the sky was blue), I didn't take a picture with all the withered leaves before I removed most of them. It's now recovering :

This pot was perfect for my 'Hana matoi', but the roots were coming out of the bottom hole, so I had to repot it into the "best" one I could find.I'll put it where it gets the morning sun, then stays in the shade after 11-12...

Well there's good new and bad news.

First the bad: I planted an Oridono Nishiki last June and it was doing fine this spring with vigorous growth until about a week ago when I noticed that all the leaves had suddenly curled up and turned brown. Not happy about that.

The good news is that there's new growth on the Sango where I drastically trimmed back dead branches. Plus I ordered a couple of peonies for my wife and snuck in a Purple Ghost to the order which arrived today!!

I will enjoy everyone else's postings here today, as I don't think I will have time to post photos. Circumstances have overtaken my maples for the last couple of days sadly.
    Thanks for the PM's.

Planted an Autumn Blaze in my back 40 here in Stevensville, Montana. Looks happy for now. Why might the bark be so paper white?

Also, $75 for this tree seemed to be a lot! Is that a fair price? -7 Gallon I believe.

Good morning everyone, it's nice to be able to post some trees again after a few hectic days away from the forum. So here are a few that haven't been cooked 'yet'.

No, it was just Osakazuki that took the brunt of the fallen branch. But if you have trees around you, then you have to expect this now and again. I didn't think like this when it happened though. I was not a happy bunny......

Yes, I can just imagine your displeasure. The local birch trees do something like that, but the entire top of the tree breaks off.

Here's two of the several here in that condition right now.

    IMG_5109.JPG IMG_5111.JPG

And some nice fall colour to keep the maple folks happy! Enjoy!

Good morning, well it's still very warm but with a hint of a breeze here in Southern England and a little cloud also. That might keep the temperatures down a bit.
So here are a few from moments ago in my garden that seem happier today.

Though it is not their main selling point I really enjoy the type of variegation you see on many Deshojo group maples at this time of year, and your pictures have captured it very well.
