Un feliz domingo para ti también P. Eso parece una nueva compra, si es así estarás muy satisfecho con ella. Es un arce especial en mi jardín.

Good morning everyone, no overnight frost so I'm very happy. Sunshine now and it's feeling a touch warmer. Are we over the worst !!? I hope so.
So here are a couple of my deep reds that caught my eye a few minutes ago.

Good morning everyone! Today I felt like snapping a couple of photos, even though the weather is still kind of bad here.

Buon pomeriggio Lorenzo, Hana Matoi e Lileeanes jewel sono due delle più colorate variegate di cultivar. Le tue foto lo dimostrano molto bene. Bello.

I bought it as 'Atrolineare' at a plant fair, the seller said it was grafted by someone he knows...

Thanks Alain, after some research as I have Red Pygmy, it seems they are indeed the same tree.
I have just started this thread to see what the interest is on the forum to gradually compiling a Synonym list. I would very much like to know your thoughts on there.

    - the sun through the leaves of 'Atropurpureum', with shirasawanum 'Aureum' in the backgd. Nice contrast, innit ?
    - new leaf on badly frost-damaged 'Phoenix'. I'll slip-pot it and andd a little fert to the mix to boost it.
    - A. shirasawanum from 'A. Moon' (1)
    - A. shirasawanum from 'A. Moon' (2)
    - Acer discolor. In the backgd, the "green arch" between my house and my neighbour's, sculpted by my son. Next year, I'll ask him to cut out a window on the left side, I love Romanese architecture ;0)

Good morning everyone, it's a bright sunny day here in Southern England, after yet another overnight frost. Buy less said about that the better...
So here are a few that are moving quite fast now and enjoying a bit of warmth.
They are Ruby Stars, Summer Gold, Lileeanes Jewel, Atropurpureum, Wakehurst pink and Red Wine. Ruby Stars 197.JPG Summer gold 197.JPG Lileeannes Jewel 197.JPG Atropurpureum 197.JPG Wakehurst pink 197.JPG Red wine 197.JPG

Had to go buy some soil at a local nursery this afternoon and as always, I couldn't resist to have a look at the maples(1 hour and half lol) and of course i could not leave without getting one...or two...it could had been worst as I was interested In a few.

I bought 2 little 'karasugawa' as I had never seen or heard about this cultivar before and the new bright pink leaves were too attracting to not bring them at home
    (pictures don't do justice):

I should not be allowed to visit nurseries in spring, it is dangerous.

That goes for Soooo many of us I, lol.
I do like what you bought today though I. My Karasu-gawa is quite the favourite of my wife's, along with Orido Nishiki. Very delicate pinks.
Now keep away from those nurseries until at least August..... easier to say no then.

Good morning, I have never been so happy to wake up to some cloud cover. 14 days of frosts has now come to an end.
The sun is coming out now, but that's OK. I'm feeling very calm this morning, lol.
So here are a few that are breaking out today.
Elegantulum, Iijima Sunago, Peaches and cream and Emperor 1.

Good evening everyone, as this has well over 110, 000 hits and 180 pages of replies, I thought it the best thread to ask for members to take a look at this new thread, please give your opinions and add Cultivars and Synonyms, with evidence to a new posting. Others can then agree or disagree and if agreed it can be added to the list.
Maple cultivar by another name (Synonym).
The list at this time will be on posting #27 of the new thread, so you can see what has happened so far.
I am doing this as so many have fallen foul of purchasing a cultivar of one name and then also purchasing the same maple, but with a different name.

    Do take a look.
