Yes, is the "little princess". A "second" mini sprout, D.

Don't worry! I prefer to write in English because this forum is international and the main language is English. Moreover, I practise my English and don't forget :)

Absolutely P, I'm just trying to make people feel a little more at home with the odd message in their native tongue.
Your Little Princess is looking special and way ahead of mine, and is also struggling a little with these late Spring frosts we are experiencing.

Some of my trees are fortunately doing fine.

    Acer shirasawanum 'Autumn Moon' :

    acershir-a.moon_210415a.jpg

    Acer 'Como' :

    acerp-como_210415a.jpg

    Acer laevigatum :

    acer-laevigatum02_210415a.jpg

'Orange Dream' in a very shallow pot :

    acerp_orangedream01_210415a.jpg

A clever one, Acer griseum : he waited for the frosts to be gone, he's now only preparing to leaf out :

A bunch of pics I just took. Ask specifically if you’d like the names but I’m taking the lazy option today lol

How do you store/classify/find your photos ?

I'm a very "nieporządny chłopiec" as my parents would say, so there's one thing I've tried.

1/ creating sub-files in alphabetical order. It's not only convenient, but for visually impaired people, it's a help :
    Classification-01.jpg

2/ naming photos with, when possible, the scientific name, even abbreviated like "acerb" for Acer bueregerianum, then numbering each tree if more than one specimen, and lastly, giving a date under the format YY/MM/DD, with a, b, c... for pics taken the same day.

    Classification-02.jpg

When looking for one of the specimens, displaying the photos help to find the right one quickly :

    Classification-03.jpg

The rest of the files in my computer is just a total mess ;0)

Thanks for the input Alain but I don’t really have the hardware or patience to do that. I just enjoy taking nice shots of trees and their leaves at different stages. Then I share them on here and they just stay on my phone which has loads of storage. I someone asked for a pic of a specific tree I’d be able to flick through my album and find what I was looking for. I know pretty much all of them inside and out. Perhaps in the future when my life is in a more stable state I can buy a computer, camera, laptop etc and start creating files and folders and be more organised. For now, just looking at them will have to be, and is actually enough to keep my satisfied.

    ;-)

I don't have the patience either but after spending hours trying to find out files and pictures, I came to that.

I have noticed a couple of trees that have a couple of sad looking upper branches and leaves and a couple of buds that look like they have died so I haven’t gotten away with it ‘Scott free’ but for the most part they seem happy. Let’s face it, they have survived naturally for centuries in Japan where it gets just as cold as here, so I like to think of it as ‘tough love’ lol ;-)

Yes, but in most parts of their native habitats they rarely have to deal with "roller coaster" weather, with 25° for several days in March, then 8° and even -5° at night the next week...

Yes, agreed again, lol. It was 25 ° C here in March and now a
a few days ago -7° C. Definatly a roller coaster for our trees.

Very much so Alain, but tbh with these frosts over here atm, I'm not too displeased. Yours are doing very well and I think your Butterfly is one of the best I've seen at this time of the year for a long time.
