    Hi everyone,
I'm new to fungi ID, and I was hoping others could chime in and help to confirm or deny my identification. I have 3 varieties that are very common to my home in Vassalboro, Maine USA, here is my first sample. I believe this is Hollow-foot Larch (Suillus cavipes), but unfortunately, I didn't get a clear look or pic of the the stem cross-section beyond the 4th pic here. The 2nd pic is a plug I cut out of the cap with a drinking straw. Here's the catch, I don't think I have any Larch around, but I've admittedly put much less time into identifying the trees around as of yet. What do you think?

Looks like what I know to be the Ash Tree Bolete (Boletinellus merulioides); have any of those around? It's new name is apparently Gyrodon merulioides.

Yeah, Lots more Ash then Larch. I've come across quite a few more while walking an old railroad bed, (rail road ties were removed 50->75 years ago). Thanks MycoRob, I'll check that out!
