    Another palm, Chamaerops humilis in the Las Palmas Norte garden. This one is quite hardy and takes many years to attain large stature.

    Quite a few people have them with trunks down here now, sometimes having planted them already large. As usual, not as hardy as windmill palm: Even the clump right by the water at the mild Carl English Botanical Garden site froze down in 1990.
