In the yard of a big residence center I work to, there are numerous Chamaecyparis, in rows or individual. I have seen the foliage of many of them becoming brown, totally dry and some plants are completely dead. The pots that they are planted into are being irrigated automatically, controlled by a computer and spayed by ground sprinklers. All these happen in Greece and this phenomenon started about a month ago. Can somebody tell what it possibly is and give a solution to this? Thanx for your replies!
If it didn't start until after the irrigation system was started then maybe they are too wet. Or maybe it is not adequate, and some of them have dried out and died during the summer. Poke around in the soil to see if it is soggy or dusty.
Well the irrigation system was on duty for long time,I regulated it in March if I remember well. The foliage browning started at the end of August. The truth is that the soil looks wet enough in general. Thank you for the reply!
