I bought this palm seed from Amsterdam flower market last summer. The man over there said that I just need to put the seed in the water as long as it starts growing. It's been in the water for over two months now and nothing seems to happen. Should I just wait or what?

Cerbera odollam is not a palm. The plant belongs to Apocynaceae family. Here in India, they are found growing near sea shores. The seeds easily sprout in wet sand.
