I have a small Carob tree (Ceratonia silliqua) with a situation I've not seen before. The main trunk/stem has split it's bark, and has developed a deformed growth. It's a fairly small plant but healthy nontheless. Curious as to what may have caused this and any remedies if any? Pics show both sides of the problem area. Thanks in advance. Cheers, LPN.
