I have a potted lemon tree which just started blooming. While checking the moisture of the soil i came across 2 centipedes. Upon further digging around in the soil, I spotted around 8 more centipedes of varying sizes (ages). I was wondering if the centipedes will harm my tree? Or infest my house, blah! Will using a pesticide harm my tree? Sorry about all the questions, I am new to gardening!

If they're definitely centipedes, that's good - they're insectivorous, and will eat up insect pests for you.

Dunno about Alberta centipedes, but the ones here are about 2cm long, orange-brown, and run around fast.

This subject has been discussed a number of times in the (soon to be decommissioned) citrus forum. I suggest using the advanced search function to retrieve those threads from that forum.
