I have a cedar hedge at my cottage. It kept it very private. The cedars are quite high maybe up to the hydro pole. My boyfriend cut around the bottoms of the cedars to "clean them up". How long will it take to grow back?

if it is thuja species, it may not grow back at all. if you can get a better ID of them it may help to get more specific answers.

It is from south central ontario. Could you clearify that it may not grow back or it won't.

    Don't expect much regrowth.

Don't forget to transplant the boyfriend, or at least threaten a vigorous pruning!
