I would like to plant a cedar hedge along a fence for privacy and to block an ugly trailer. I live in Ottawa, Canada, so it gets cold. I would like the hedge to be kept at 5 feet or so high, and 3 - 4 feet wide. I've seen white cedar and emerald cedar. What is the difference, which would be better. The spot is in the front side of the house, so looks is also important. Also any planting advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much, new to the forum. Looking forward to learning. Rivka
